A productive day test shooting locations & meeting with collaborators.
Two separate collaborators and Blaenavon Legends George Spencer & Sheila Hawkins have decided to have their portrait made on their shop premises rather than up on the hillsides. They are both wonderful characters and brilliant to work with. These choices mark a significant change in direction for my proposed project but this is not necessarily a bad thing.
The early evening was spent walking miles over slag heaps. These man made structures are a result of the heavy industries which once dominated Blaenavon. They are relics of the industrial revolution like an industrial land form. We felt at times like we were walking through a David Bowie video.
Off to bed shattered and inspired.
